The gentleman who installed our floors was meticulous. He spent 2-3 hours making the cuts for around the fireplace hearth in the dining room. In the living room we decided to put a border around the room using walnut and cherry accents. His work is beautiful. I can't wait to see it after it is sanded and polished.
In progress...... the 1st coat of color is on the wall. The floor is almost installed. The trim needs to be finished and the finish coat of paint. Looovve the color though, it's very warm.
The wire on the floor is the "warm tile" system. It will warm the tile, but not the floor, which will feel nice and cozy on our feet. The wires were cemented over yesterday and the tiles will be installed over it Monday (hopefully)
Getting ready for his practice heet during the "warm" part of the day......16 degrees and windy. This was his first time on a track and he was just glad to make it all the way around.
Justin participated in his first snow-cross race this weekend at Whaleback Mountain in Enfield, NH. Here he is at the start line. He's the only green machine on the end. Below you can see him coming over one of the moguls. He races again on Sunday.
Look in Websters. You'll probably see this picture. Today is day 6 on the fever count. Poor kid is sick and tired of feeling sick and tired. The good news though is that he's the only one that's sick and we hope it stays that way!
The state started to draw down the lake 1st Monday of October. Although there is still a fair amount of water coming over the dam, all the boards are out, and we appear to be at winter level. So the boats has been put to bed and the boys' thoughts have switched to snowmobiling.
